Delete your GetWay account
You can ask us to delete your GetWay account (“Route Planner - GetWay” by Logi Way) and the data connected to it at any time. Choose one of the three ways below.
1. In the app
- Open GetWay and make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete.
- Open the menu (☰).
- Tap Delete account and confirm. The account is closed at once, you are signed out, and the rest of its data is deleted as described below.
In older versions of the app, which have no Delete account item: tap Contact support (or Report a problem), write “Please delete my account” and tap Send. Either way the request is linked to your account automatically. The app is the only way to delete a guest account (an account you used without registering).
2. Request deletion on the web
3. By e-mail
Write to getway.office@gmail.com from the e-mail address of your account, with the subject “Delete my account”.
What happens next
- We may write to the e-mail address of the account to confirm that the request comes from you, so that nobody else can delete your account.
- Within 30 days we delete your account, profile, routes, stops, favorites, settings, device identifiers and the support messages linked to the account.
- We keep only what the law requires: purchase and subscription records, for as long as tax and accounting laws require, and a record of your deletion request. Server logs are erased on their normal cycle (within 90 days). Copies in database backups are erased when those backups are deleted, and are never used to bring a deleted account back.
- Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the store. Cancel it in Google Play (profile icon › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions) or on iPhone (Settings › your name › Subscriptions).
- Uninstalling the app does not delete your data on our servers.
- Want to delete only some data? Delete routes, stops and favorites yourself in the app, or ask us in the same ways to delete specific data without closing your account.
